Repeat Prescriptions
Please follow the guidelines and choose the right option for you.
- Please allow us 7 working days, to process your prescription request.
- You can request your medication up to one week early. If you choose to allocate a local chemist to pick it up for you, please allow a further 24 hours for dispensing.
- Please only request the medication you need. Please do not stockpile medications and do not share with others.
- We do not accept repeat prescription requests over the phone.
Ordering a Repeat Prescription
When you order a prescription online, you can have it sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. This is called a nomination.
The NHS Wales App
Order repeat prescriptions via the NHS Wales App or NHS Wales website, and have them sent to a pharmacy of your choice.
Use Online Services
The easiest way to order your prescription is by using our online services.
Online Form
If you're not registered with our online services, you can use our online form
Order your repeat prescription via our online Repeat Prescription form. No account required.
Your Local Pharmacy
At all times, and particularly during the pandemic, we will send your prescription directly to a local pharmacy to save you collecting it from the surgery. Please let us know which pharmacy is the most convenient for you.
If you use the services of your local chemist to order your medication and they retain your request slip, please ensure that you inform them each month what you need. The Practice will not automatically assume that all items are to be re-prescribed.
About pharmacists
As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:
- coughs
- colds
- sore throats
- tummy trouble
- aches and pains
They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.
In Person
All requests for repeat medication need to be made using your repeat medication request slip. If for any reason you do not have this, please ask a receptionist for a duplicate. You must clearly tick the items you need. Please remember, if an item is not ticked it will not be issued.
Medication Queries
Please get in touch with the surgery to raise a query about your medication.
